  • IMPORTANT: There are slight changes to question 1(b). Please look at it. The change is only to provide more information to make it even simpler! The deadline to hand the exam in is now tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5 pm.
  • The Final Exam will be on TUESDAY 3/14/2000.   Get your copy HERE (it will, hopefully, be available 9:00 am Monday 3/13/2000.)
    • Print a copy (single sided).
    • Do exam to and staple sheets together.
    • Make sure all sheets have your name on them.
    • Hand in to Mr DeSilva's mailbox by 9:00 am Wednesday 3/15/2000.
  • Midterm 2 is now over. The Solutions are now posted. It is too late to hand in any exam now!
  • The syllabus has been updated once more to reflect the fact that we are ahead of the original schedule.
  • Some notes on homework and its grading have been added to the homework page.
  • Beware.  Problem 10-30 (homework set I) involves an inhomegeneous dielectric medium.  To solve it you may try equation 10-83 and use the stored energy to find capacitance, or you may wish to use a different method.
