Examinations

There will be a mid-term examination and a final examination. Both examinations will consist of problems to be done at home and turned in later and problems to be done in class.

For the in-class problems, you may use your textbook, your homework solutions, copies of any materials placed on the course web site, and any notes you have written by hand. You may use a calculator. You may not use a computer, other books, or any other written materials.

For the take-home problems, you may additionally use publicly available material including other books and web sites. However, you may not use material which is not publicly available such as old homework sets or exam solutions from other students. All additional reference material used must be clearly noted and described.

It is each student's responsibility to know and comply with the University's Student Code of Conduct.
